It is natural to assume one type of fitness is sufficient for mental and physical health. Studies have shown that it’s essential to practice each of the four classes of exercise: endurance, strength, balance, and flexibility. There are different benefits to doing each one. At the same time, doing one kind also can enhance your capacity to do the others. When variety is kept in mind, it not only helps to diminish monotony but, more importantly, diminishes the risk of injury. No matter your fitness level or health constraints, there are activities designed for you!

Mental Health

Mental health encompasses our well-being on an emotional, psychological, and social level. It impacts our behaviors, feelings, and thoughts and supports our decision-making, relatability, and stress coping mechanisms. Maintaining robust mental health is vital throughout the lifecycle. It is equally as essential to manage it during childhood as it is in adolescence and adulthood.

Nutrition

Nutrition is characterized by studying food nutrients and the body's ability to utilize them.  In conjunction, nutritionists discover the correlation between diet, health, and disease through biochemistry, genetics, and molecular biology. Additionally, nutrition concentrates on the reduction of the risk of illness as it relates to dietary choices. Allergies and appropriate nutrient balance are amongst the many things that nutritionists are experts in.  Nutrients such as proteins, carbohydrates, fat, vitamins, minerals, fiber, and water have a specific balance to maintain in each person's diet. The more disproportional the ratio, the higher the risk of developing particular health conditions increases.

Spirituality

Spirituality is a wide concept of faith in something beyond the self. For some, it includes religious traditions centering on the belief in God. For others, it involves a holistic belief in an individual connection to others and the world as a whole. On a global scale, spirituality infers more to life than just what we experience on a sensory and physical level. It suggests all individuals are connected by something more significant. This concept also indicates continuous life after death and aims to answer questions about the meaning of life, how people are connected, universal truths, and other mysteries of human existence. ​In addition, research has confirmed that people who utilize their religion or spirituality to cope with challenges in life experience many advantages to their health and well-being.
